Quiet Ensemble - Solar Dust

QUIET ENSEMBLE – SOLAR DUST

An immersive audiovisual installation using laser light projected onto steel-filament tulle, creating swirling volumes of shadow and luminescence. Visitors explore a landscape where microscopic dust motifs echo cosmic themes, blending natural elements with advanced technology.

TECHNICAL CONTRIBUTION

Laser programming, contributing to the definition of the visual rhythm and spatial dynamics of the light forms within the installation.

Quayola - Storm(s)

QUAYOLA - STORM(S)

An audiovisual series that renders digital stormy seas through algorithmic processes. The work captures the sculptural motion of waves, blending the raw force of nature with computational artistry.

TECHNICAL CONTRIBUTION

Developed a custom pipeline using zero-shot object detection to identify waves and rocks without manual labeling, enabling integration of natural elements into the algorithmic visual system.

Ultravioletto - Urban Oracle

ULTRAVIOLETTO - URBAN ORACLE

An interactive installation inspired by the ancient oracle, offering cryptic, humorous advice. Blending classical philosophy with street slang, it reimagines art's ritual role as a source of insight in contemporary society.

TECHNICAL CONTRIBUTION

Developed a custom GPT-2 model fusing philosophical insight with streetwise irony, and built a system to deliver text dynamically via Vestaboard, uniting digital language with physical presence in a responsive installation.

Quiet Ensemble / Giorgio Moroder - Nebula

QUIET ENSEMBLE / GIORGIO MORODER – NEBULA

An immersive installation by Quiet Ensemble with original music by Giorgio Moroder, featured at Videocittà 2024. Using lasers on steel strings and micro-particles, it evokes a cosmic journey from dust to the universe.

TECHNICAL CONTRIBUTION

Laser programming designed to enhance the spatial and emotional impact of Giorgio Moroder's soundtrack, integrating dynamic light elements in synchrony with the musical structure.

Quayola - Luce

QUAYOLA – LUCE

Created for Cinecittà's Teatro 18 to mark 100 years of Italy's Istituto Luce, this digital opera displays algorithmically generated "paintings" on one of Europe's largest LED walls. It transforms cinematic space into an evolving, abstract visual language.

TECHNICAL CONTRIBUTION

Development of custom video analysis systems integrating motion estimation, feature detection, trajectory tracking, and pose recognition. Focus on visual parameter mapping, thresholding, and adaptive rendering techniques to support the installation's generative visual language.

Quiet Ensemble - Light Rain

QUIET ENSEMBLE – LIGHT RAIN

An immersive installation that transforms the sky into a luminous cascade of laser beams. Visitors are enveloped in a gentle drizzle of light that gradually intensifies into a dynamic horizontal storm, offering a meditative and visually captivating experience.

TECHNICAL CONTRIBUTION

Laser programming focused on creating a gradual transition from subtle vertical beams to a dense, dynamic horizontal light storm. Work included control of intensity curves, spatial distribution, and synchronization with the sensory and atmospheric progression of the installation.

Quiet Ensemble - Vertical Horizon

QUIET ENSEMBLE – VERTICAL HORIZON

The world's largest light installation, linking Riyadh and Rome through a luminous plane that reacts to environmental and human stimuli. Sensors, thermal cameras, and microphones transform real-time data into evolving digital visuals, illustrating the interconnectedness of distant places and the impact of even the smallest actions.

TECHNICAL CONTRIBUTION

Design and implementation of the data infrastructure for continuous transmission from sensors, cameras, and web sources. Enabled real-time environmental input and supported its integration into the generative visual system across locations.
